Canada Cup!

We had a great week in Canada! The Canada Cup is a special tournament, lots of great memories here in Surrey. It was the 16th year of the tournament. Great crowds, great atmosphere, and always a great tournament! We ended up winning the tournament with a big win over Canada. It was our first competition as a National Team for 09'. It was so exciting taking the field in red, white, and blue, for another summer! This is a fun group and a great talented team! Its so fun experiencing "first's" as a USA team member with some of the girls. Along with getting back on the field with the returners. I've enjoyed the opportunity to play the field too. I can not express my excitement about playing first base and having the chance to help out offensively. I love it! Here are some pictures from the final day in at the Canada Cup!

Now we are headed to Oklahoma City for the World Cup! It will be another exciting great week of competition! Check it out on ESPN or come out and support USA in OKC!

Jennie, I just saw your amazing performance vs. The Netherlands this evening in World Cup. Your change-up is a thing of physics marvel - how do you do it?
My husband is a pitching coach in SE Louisiana - can you come down and share some secrets with him? :) And your hitting wasn't too shabby either!

On a more serious note, thank you for sharing such personal feelings on your blogs. Your words are both inspiring and heartwarming. Blessings to you and your beautiful family!

Awesome pitching against the Netherlands - Don't tell me experience doesn't count. You rocked. Keep it up!

LOVE YOU JENNIE! Way to go against the Netherlands! 11 punch-outs in 4 innings of work, really amazing! Plus, way to show ‘em how it’s done against Italy…everything really seemed to be clicking! I’m 13 and I’m a pitcher and a third base-woman. I’m starting to get some really great movement on my curveball, but I can’t quite get it to go where I want it to, any tips? I hope one day I can be as good as you are!

Hey girl!!! I had a blast being in OKC while you ladies were there. Congrats on another championship. I hope you made it safely on your 7hour drive. Ace is so adorable by the way =). You are amazing on and off the field...you had some great games and whether you are on the field or not you are always supporting your "sisters" in one way or another! I just wanted to thank you so much for everything; from being the great softball player and role model that you are to the wonderful, caring, compassionate person that you are, to the most important of living and showing your faith outward. It takes a special person to stay sweet and humble and so down to earth the way that you are. Thanks Jennie! It would be great to be able to stay in touch with ya so here is my email if you ever have time to write...moreland07@neto.com. Much love kid!

God Speed,
Tiffany
